Position: Powertrain Motor Enginering (PME)

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• 3 - 5 years experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages one or more application engineering projects or programs, with moderate supervision.

• Conducts independent analysis of operating conditions and specifications proposed and requested by customers. Determines feasibility and proposes solutions from consideration of applicable policies, engineering requirements, and value maximization. Supports preparation of proposals and quotations, as needed.

• Develops, updates and maintains product specification documents.

• Selects and creates appropriate testing required to evaluate products based on customer & DENSO specifications, assisting whenever possible. Reviews other groups test and/or CAE analysis plans and proposes changes or improvements to align with customer specifications. Captures and reports product testing and/or analysis results to management, senior engineers and/or DENSO customers.

• Prepares and delivers technical reports and presentations to DENSO customers and other divisions. Prepares other engineering documentation such as test plans & reports, customer drawings, and technical review presentations, as required by engineering management.

• Monitors and reviews warranty data and assists with conducting root cause & 8D analysis of warranty issues. Communicates with Service & Quality engineering, manufacturing, and customer engineering on quality issues.

• Continuous re-evaluation of product matching, initiating and investigating value-add (VA/VE) opportunities regularly. Use engineering analysis and tools (5M1E, DRBFM/DFMEA, Change point analysis) to review internal & external process changes against DENSO & customer specifications, proposing engineering improvements and supporting internal & customer approvals.

Knowledge required:

• Professional working proficiency in the English language (written & verbal)

• Good written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills

• Good customer service skills with an ability to approach every business relationship as a partnership

• Respects different cultures and works well with teammates from various backgrounds to problem-solve and complete engineering projects cooperatively

• Good problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to address customer issues and partner on resolutions

• Good engineering analytical skills

• Good negotiation skills and an ability to resolve situations while making a point firmly and seeking a positive outcome for both sides

• In-depth understanding and demonstrated competency in working with computer software applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile testing & design data.

• Knowledge of CAD, CAE and other relevant engineering software, and testing equipment
